Trevor Sones

Trevor Sones has more than 13 years of experience as a professional conflict resolution specialist and Mediator with the BC Labour Relations Board. Combining leading research on conflict resolution with applied skills that work in the field, he helps senior leaders navigate politically sensitive interactions and solve complex communication problems. His work brings him across the province of BC, where he specializes in dealing with interpersonal and organizational conflict. His experience has covered a breadth of mediation and negotiation contexts involving almost every major industry in both the private and public sector.

Trevor is currently an Adjunct Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where he teaches in human behavior, mediation, negotiation, facilitation, conflict resolution, labour relations and authentic leadership in numerous workshop and academic forums, in addition to working with indigenous leaders providing conflict resolution skills training. At Executive Education, Trevor is the program leader for Leading with Authenticity, Persuasion and Influence and Conflict Management Strategies.

Trevor holds an M.A. in Dispute Resolution from the University of Victoria and a B.A. (Hons.) in criminology with a concentration in law from Carleton University.
