Let us know which credentials you have earned and when you earned them, and which credentials you hope to earn in the future.

I earned the DHT credential in 2021 and passed DHC exam recently. Acheiving the AHC that I am motivated to pursue.

How many years have you been in the industry and can you share some of your past experiences?

I started in the industry in July 2015 and have continously improved and enhanced my knowledge.  Nevertehless, my abilities are constantly evolving due to everyday projects I'm involved with and the great supporting team I am surrounded by.

How long have you been participating in DHI Canada’s education program and which courses have you taken?

I began with COR101 and COR102 when I started to work in the industry. After 2 years, I felt more comfortable with terminology and product that I went ahead with more courses when the opportunity arose. Currently I've taken COR-147, ELT540, AHC205, DAI300, COR163, and DHC307.

Have you participated in both our national schools and our regional schools?

I have attended 2 national technical schools, one in Calgary the other in Ottawa. Other courses taken were online.

How has participation in our education programs contributed to your professional development and your career?

Going through the course content has greatly contributed growing my skills and filling the gaps with the information I don't get through work. Furthermore, Instructors bring and share their experiences which enhance the program and further strengthens the importance of what we do.

What impacts have our instructors had in mentoring you and engaging you in the industry?

The constructive and honest feedback which identifies weaknesses and advise the ways to improve in specific areas. 

In your opinion, what is the most important benefit of DHI Canada’s education program?

DHI enable students to learn specific skills that help them gain confidence and creating opportunities to advance in the Door and Hardware Industry.

Personal story or memories you wish to share

I enjoy meeting colleagues from all over the world and creating a special bond that is stronger than being a competitor. I have created long lasting friendships with other students and instructors during lunches and dinners which I will cherish for years to come.
