WHAT IS DHI

The Door and Hardware Institute Canada represents the architectural openings industry in Canada. Established in 1977, DHI Canada has close to 700 members. Individual members are actively engaged in distribution or manufacturing, as sales representatives or agencies representing products of the architectural openings industry to industry professionals.

DHI Canada is closely affiliated with DHI International and their 5,000 members in the U.S., Canada and abroad.

DHI is very proud of its credentialing programs.  Through ongoing education and training programs, members earn designations that equip them to consult on the built environment to architects, specifiers, contractors and end users.   Here is a list of the certification designations that DHI offers:

Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC)

Certified Door Consultant (CDC)

Electrified Hardware Consultant (EHC)

Architectural Openings Consultant (AOC)
